Chris was patient, kind, honest, caring and loving to my cane corso Sicario. I felt better after our first phone conversation but today was our first in person visit and I am hopeful and confident both myself and Sicario will be fixed in a few sessions!! thank you for helping us!!

Laura Harrington

Chris' patience and wide breath of knowledge working with "challenging/reactive/fearful" dogs is unrivaled. Our highly reactive, fear based "aggressive" shelter rescue has made boundless progress and continues to grow with Chris' help. Straightforward instruction and direction has helped us be more consistent handlers and building our dogs confidence doing training activities he loves has been the key. You and your pup will be in capable hands with Sutton K9.

I highly recommend Chris. He did an amazing job with our dog in only two sessions. He is great with dogs and really helps the owners understand what they need to do as well. He is so positive and upbeat. Our dog now walks great on leash and listens so much better. Thank you Chris!!!

Chris is phenomenal! Taught me some tricks to get my very hyper shepherd mix’s energy out! So far so good!

Chris takes the time to listen to what it is you want out of your dog and him as a trainer. He explains why your dog is doing what he is doing. Our big boy is well on his way because of Chris and his knowledge.

Kenneth Ralston

We had a great few classes with our puppy. He is incredibly knowledgeable and helps both the dog and us learn.

Kris Laird

Just had our 2nd session with Chris. He is truly great at what he does. He has been amazing with our pup Riley and has taught us so much in only 2 sessions. Not only are we learning techniques and commands to help us build a strong bond of communication with her, he’s also teaching us a lot about dog behavior in general. You can definitely tell he cares about animals and enjoys what he does. Highly recommend him!

Mr. Sutton came out to help train my 10 month old Weimaraner. I got so much information and so many tips from one session. He truly understands dogs and was great with my pup. I can’t wait for the next session!

Mr. Sutton started working with my 9M old Shepherd this week and I am already so impressed. In just the 2 sessions he has had we have accomplished so much. I feel like I finally understand the dog's behavior and can respond correctly to get him to listen. I was skeptical because this is the 3rd trainer we have tried to have work with our difficult puppy, but he knows his stuff. My dog Rowdy is a vocal hyper dog and he was not intimidated by the bad behavior upfront. He was able to explain the drills so that I could practice them without being frustrated. He was able to work around my schedule and came to train at 6AM !

Maggie’s Journey to Trust

When Maggie, a rescued pitbull, first met Chris Sutton, she wasn’t sure what to make of him. She was protective of her family and unsure about strangers, meeting him with growls and lunges whenever he got too close.

But Maggie’s family believed in her potential and trusted Chris to help her build confidence. Their first session was tough, but Maggie began to notice that Chris wasn’t trying to harm her—he was just patient and kind. By the second session, she tolerated his presence, though she still kept her distance.

Everything changed during their third session. Chris earned Maggie’s trust enough to walk her, give her treats, and even sneak in a few kisses on her hand. And today, during their latest session, Maggie surprised everyone by greeting Chris with kisses and showing a spark of excitement.

Her parents couldn’t be happier, and Maggie is discovering her true self—a sweet and loving dog. Helping her reach this moment reminds us why we do what we do.

Luther’s Journey to Success

Luther, a six-month-old bloodhound, first began training with Chris Sutton in a tracking class. Though his owner initially doubted his potential, Luther quickly proved to be a natural. Over time, his impressive abilities shone through.

Sadly, due to unforeseen family circumstances, Luther's family had to make the heartbreaking decision to give him up. Recognizing Luther’s incredible talent, his owner ensured he had the opportunity to reach his full potential by enrolling him in the police academy.

With Chris’ guidance, Luther’s dad was able to get him into the tryouts to see if the Delaware State Police would be interested. The process included two different tryouts, where Luther's skills were put to the test. Without Chris, Luther would not have been confident enough to excel in such a challenging environment.

Today, Luther is proudly serving as a Delaware State Police Dog in Training. With his remarkable tracking skills and a dedicated handler, he’s destined to make a difference and help countless people.

When he graduates, we will share his picture, marking the next milestone in his journey. We’re so proud of Luther and all he’s accomplished so far—this is just the beginning of his incredible story.
